Across the world, teacher retention and student wellbeing are at the forefront of escalating problems within the education sector. High Performance Learning (HPL), an innovative educational organisation dedicated to enhancing everyday teaching and learning practices through its research-backed pedagogy, is pleased to unveil its latest Global Impact Report. This report highlights significant improvements in student wellbeing and teacher retention, demonstrating the substantial benefits of integrating HPL methodologies into standard educational settings.
HPL is currently implemented in a diverse array of mainstream, independent, and international schools across 24 countries. Through professional development enhancement, HPL has supported over 12,000 teachers, benefiting 120,000 students worldwide.
The Global Impact Report is built off surveyed results from over 15,000 parents, students, and educators revealing compelling outcomes. Teachers in HPL-supported schools report high levels of professional satisfaction, with 86% expressing fulfilment in their careers and enjoyment in their work environment. Additionally, staff retention has increased by 25% in schools that have adopted HPL practices.
These findings emphasise that HPL is a scalable, effective approach to improving pedagogy in a variety of educational settings, contributing meaningfully to the broader education dialogue.
91% of students enjoy attending school
The research-backed approach and pedagogy of HPL is not only enhancing staff retention but also fostering happier, more confident students who enjoy attending school. This positive culture shift is evident across all types of schools adopting HPL. In a context where 1 in 6 students are identified with a mental health issue, our survey reveals that 91% of students enjoy going to school, 85% value their learning experiences, and 73% of parents believe their children are not anxious about school. Furthermore, 98% of staff report high levels of student engagement and confidence when HPL methodologies are embedded into their teaching and learning.
Parental involvement in HPL schools has also seen substantial growth. Following the implementation of HPL, 83% of parents actively engage in their child’s educational progress, and 94% have observed improved problem-solving skills in their children, highlighting the framework’s effectiveness.
Deborah Eyre, Founder of HPL says: “The remarkable results highlighted in our Global Impact Report underscore the transformative power of High Performance Learning. At HPL, we passionately believe that every single child can achieve academic success and live a life full of opportunity and fulfilment regardless of their starting point, and our approach is designed to unlock that potential, creating not just better students, but confident, capable individuals. The positive impact on student wellbeing, teacher satisfaction, and parental engagement is a testament to the approach’s effectiveness. We are thrilled to see that what we believe is evident across our schools and that student wellbeing and staff retention can be improved in as little as 2 years.”
