Caroline Cheale is the new CEO of Supporting Education Group, one of the UK’s largest education services businesses.
A former qualified teacher who has spent her entire career in education, Caroline will lead the business into its next phase of growth with a renewed focus on its four key missions: to provide great teachers and support staff wherever they are needed, to develop and inspire an education workforce which thrives in the sector, to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children and those with special needs, and to help schools run smoothly so they can focus on teaching and learning.
She succeeds Lisa Harrington who becomes Chair of the Board for Supporting Education Group.
Caroline joined Teaching Personnel, Supporting Education Group’s recruitment brand, in 1999, rising to become Managing Director of SEG’s Recruitment and Supply and Tuition and Learning practices.
“It’s a privilege to lead Supporting Education Group at such an exciting time and with the opportunities ahead,” said Caroline.
“I’m incredibly passionate about the education sector, and I believe in the power of our business to make a difference for our customers and the children and young people they support.
“To do this we will continue to provide exceptional services for our customers, deliver sustainable growth, advance digital transformation, acquire high quality education focussed businesses and work with the brilliant team we have across the group to create a positive, lasting impact on the sector.”
Lisa Harrington, Chair of the Board, said: “Caroline brings a wealth of experience in education, marked by a proven track record of achieving results and guiding high-performing teams.
“Caroline’s appointment as CEO reflects her deep understanding of the education sector and her proven ability to drive positive change. Her leadership, experience, passion, and vision for SEG will undoubtedly propel us forward.”
