Longstock secondary school has joined a leading multi-academy trust (MAT) in a bid to boost the quality of the education and learning resources offered to pupils. Test Valley School has partnered with HISP Multi Academy Trust to benefit from its extensive school improvement networks, resources, and collaboration of latest learning practices. The partnership will give pupils and staff access to a wider range of resources, equipment and initiative to support the school’s improvement.
HISP MAT currently works with schools across wider Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Southampton and Portsmouth areas. In October 2023, Test Valley School was praised by Ofsted in a monitoring visit which found the school on track to being graded ‘Good’ within 18-24 months of the initial inspection in October 2022. Test Valley School joined HISP MAT as part of its commitment to become a ‘Good’ graded school by Ofsted.
Headteacher of Test Valley School Nicky Goodridge said she is really excited about the school’s future with the support of HISP MAT. Nicky added: “I’m eager to see where our partnership with HISP MAT takes Test Valley. To make sure our pupils have access to the very best education, we wanted to widen our support network. Being a part of HISP means we’re now connected to a wide network of specialists who can help Test Valley succeed.” Deputy CEO of HISP Amanda Parry said: “We’re so pleased to welcome Test Valley to our family of schools. “Our goal is to offer support and guidance to our schools whilst making sure they maintain their unique characters within the local community. The partnership will transform Test Valley’s teaching and facilities, giving it the tools it needs to progress.” Director of HISP Learning Partnerships Jo McKeown said: “I am lucky to work with such a dedicated team and community. Our academisation will allow our school to build on what has already been achieved to ensure Test Valley provides excellence for all. Be assured that we will continue to work hard to ensure Test Valley School goes from strength to strength.”
