The Education People Show is returning on Wednesday, 13th November at the Kent Event Centre in Detling. This free, one-day event will bring together hundreds of education professionals from schools across Kent and neighbouring counties and is designed to provide educators with the opportunity to engage in discussions on the most important topics in education, explore innovative solutions, and network with peers. The event’s programme is CPD-accredited and packed with keynote sessions and workshops delivered by a variety of experts in the education sector. Notable speakers include Careers Expert and Educationalist Alicia Moyles, as well as Britain’s most successful female gymnast, Beth Tweddle MBE. Beth will close the event with her keynote, “Inspiring the Next Generation,” sharing insights from her journey to Olympic success and her work as a businesswoman. Other sessions will cover critical topics like reducing restrictive practices in schools, EAL vs SEN, the role of learning behaviours in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), school finance, supported internships and more.
Scott Reece, Senior HMI at Ofsted, will also lead a session on how Ofsted evaluates the curriculum in primary and secondary schools, providing insights into the latest evaluation practices. Additional workshops will focus on current issues in education, offering practical advice on navigating challenges such as procurement and the financial pressures schools are facing today.
The exhibition area will feature over 130 leading suppliers and service providers, offering attendees the chance to compare products and services for their schools. This is particularly relevant in today’s tight financial climate, where schools must maximise their budgets and seek cost-effective solutions.
